The plot-composition center

Composition is the combination of individual elements into a single artistic whole.
The photographic composition is also a reflection of reality, not created by the artist's imagination, and the author's inner relation to it, its philosophical, aesthetic and ethical comprehension of the surrounding world. In composing a composition, the photographer relies on objectively defined forms and gives them a certain semantic coloring by using a number of expressive means.
Accurate and expressive construction of the image, the creation of an accent on the main object, the exclusion of all superfluous pictures from the picture, etc. - these regularities underlie the construction of the photo image and are united by the general concept of composition of the frame.

The basis for the design of the photograph should be clearly marked plot-composition center. Therefore, the photographer, in order to realize his creative intention, must find the details or objects that most strongly characterize the displayed phenomenon, and they should form an ideological and compositional center, the emphasis on which can be made by any expressive means. The remaining elements, occupying a peripheral position and creating an environment, contribute to enhancing the sound of the main idea of ??the photograph. It must be remembered that in every work of art each seemingly insignificant detail has its aesthetically completed form. The photographer should choose a combination of subjects or objects of photography, in which not only the hierarchy of main and secondary elements would be respected, but also the aesthetic significance of both.

One of the requirements of photo composition is harmony. It can be harmony, horizontal and vertical lines complementing each other, harmony of colors, light and shadow, etc. Harmonic unity of individual elements is impossible without balance, without complementing them with each other. For example, a composition built on some horizontals, in order to avoid monotony, is recommended to enliven with any vertical accent or complicate with diagonal lines.
Equilibrium can also be achieved as a result of the symmetrical construction of a photograph; In the case of asymmetry, the right lower corner can not be overloaded in comparison with the left one; The heavily overloaded upper part also creates the impression of compositional imbalance.
Symmetrical and asymmetric compositions can be created for any type of shooting, and will depend primarily on the intent of the photographer, and then on his chosen point of view.
